Why A Prophet?
“But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.” Zechariah 14:7
Spiritually we live in a time of confusion, where so many churches claim to have THE TRUTH but preach opposing doctrines. How can anyone know WHO IS RIGHT?
The Bible says that God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33) and that He would make the truth so simple that even a fool would not make a mistake (Isaiah 35:8). Therefore in the midst of the conflicting opinions that surround religion God must have a clearly identified ministry to tell the people what He REALLY WANTS from them. This ministry must be completely from the Bible and must be vindicated by the supernatural God, the way the true Gospel always comes. (1 Corinthians 2:4).
How do we know William Branham was the prophet the Bible promises?
…and he shall shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to the fathers…” Malachi 4:5-6.
A true prophet of God is always known by two things:
1. Whatever he says in the name of the Lord ALWAYS comes to pass without a single mistake.
2. He always points the people back to the Lord God, never to himself or another man.
William Branham’s ministry was unprecedented in modern times. From his birth, those present witnessed a supernatural light enter the room. This Light accompanied him throughout his life and was seen by hundreds of witnesses many times. It was also photographed and examined by the FBI and a written statement verifying the photograph’s authenticity was issued by George J. Lacy, the Examiner of Questionable Documents.
